Our Staff

Suburban is a community based church

...which was started in 1987 at the Bellbridge Primary School in Hoppers Crossing. The church moved into new facilities at 152-154 Bellbridge Drive Hoppers Crossing in June of 2005. In our 30th year of ministry in 2017 we are committed to living out our purpose to be a Gospel Centred Community. We are seeking to do that by being relevant and effective as Christ fulfils His promise to build His church.

Our Staff

Senior Pastor - Tim and Tammy Loftis

Pastor Tim & Tammy migrated from the USA thirty one years ago to plant a church here in Wyndham. As the founding and Senior Pastor of Suburban, Pastor Tim has led the church through the many stages of growth and change. Tim’s passion for the Word of God and the Gospel drives his preaching and leadership as Suburban seeks to flourish as a gospel centred community. Tammy is involved in children’s ministry as well as leading the Suburban Sisters ministry in the church. Pastor Tim loves to mentor young leaders and he is excited about what God has for the future of Suburban!

Tim and Tammy will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary in 2018, and they are very thankful that God has allowed them to partner together in ministry for all of those years. They have 6 adult children and 9 beautiful grandchildren that add lots of joy to their full lives.

Young has a passion for making big ideas understandable, and making large gatherings more personal. He believes that questions are more easily answered when asked, and it’s much easier to live as a Christ-follower in small groups rather than crowds, or alone.

Young and his wife Borra moved to Hoppers Crossing in early 2017. In his free time, Young enjoys watching movies, writing, and dreaming about learning how to ride a bike.
