We believe in proclaiming the gospel of Christ
...and ‘making disciples of all nations.’ (Matthew 28: 19-20). For this reason, we engage in a range of activities geared towards fulfilling the Great Commission of taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.
We are passionate about serving our local community. Here are the projects we are involved in:
Winter Warmers. A regular distribution of clothing and necessities for disadvantaged members of the community.
Food Cupboard. Food and assistance made available to disadvantaged members of the community.
We are also committed to supporting foreign missions work. Our key partners are:
Walter Family and BuildAid . A missionary building organisation operating in the Pacific. We support Ian & Jo Walter who are the founders and field reps for BuildAid. buildaid.org.au
McCay Family. The McCay family are ministering to the Kol people in West New Britain, Papua New Guinea.
Drost Family. The Drost family are ministering to the indigenous communities in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.
Loftis Family. The Loftis family are ministering through SIM at The Well counselling center in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Chad also works as the SIM, CSEA communications director. loftises.com
“One generation commends your works to another;
They tell of your mighty acts.
They speak of your glorious splendour of your majesty -
and I will mediate on your wonderful works.”
SIM invites you to join us in praising God for His wonderful works of missionthroughout many generations!
Come and give thanks for the many thousands of workers who have gone before us, compelled by their love for Christ to take the Gospel to communities where He is least known. In 1893, SIM’s founders - three young men were burdened to take the Gospel to sub-Saharan Africa where there was no Christian witness. Today, there aremore Christians in Nigeria than any Western European country.
Join us as we celebrate all God has done over 125 years of Serving in Mission in partnership with Australian churches!
Come and hear inspiring stories from our SIM Australian missionaries. These stories are told by ordinary people who serve as Christ’s witnesses in distant, difficult and sometimes dangerous contexts. We want to celebrate as a community that God is engaged and performing amazing acts of transformation through His people, bringing life and love where death and disease once reigned.
Together, we will celebrate, pray and look forward with hope to the new things God is doing and the part you can play in God’s Mission!
Join us in dreaming of the future and the new things the Lord might have for us. Discover how to pray for the next generation of Gospel workers. We will look forward with anticipation to many more workers who will come, and many individuals and churches who will support them, because they too are compelled by the mighty, overflowing, unconditional, sacrificial love of Christ.
