Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner is a much anticipated event in the life of Suburban Church, as it provides the opportunity to share a meal and conversation with others from the church to deepen existing relationships and form new ones.
Because we love Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner so much, in 2020 we will be having two! These will occur on Sunday 1st March and Sunday 26th July. We hope to see many people signing up for both these events, as each provides its own opportunity to get to know others from Suburban better.
Being a part of Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner involves signing up to either host a lunch or dinner, or be a guest (possibly with others) at someone’s house for lunch or dinner. But you won’t know exactly who’s coming or who’s house you will be eating at until you open the door! We understand that this can be a little intimidating at first, but past participants report it has also been lots of fun and given them the opportunity to get to know someone better or for the first time. This has resulted in new friendships and people feeling more connected to Suburban. You can register with your family or a friend and go together if this makes you feel more comfortable.
Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner is open to everyone of all ages. You are welcome whether you have been attending Suburban for many years or are brand new. If you have any specific requirements to allow you to attend, just let us know when registering. This includes information such as special dietary requirements, access/mobility requirements, or preferences for the time of the meal to accommodate children’s sleep times.
Registrations for Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner Sunday 1st March are now open and will remain open until Sunday 23rd February.
